Pastor Tom Konz is a second generation pastor, the fifth of seven children, born to missionary parents in Nigeria in 1952. Since 3rd grade he attended public schools in Eden and Marlin, Texas, before becoming a student athlete at Tarleton State University. After graduating with a degree in History he earned a Masters in Aging Studies at NTSU in Denton, which led him into nursing home administration at Lincoln Lutheran of Racine, Wisconsin. There he met and married Cheryl Brehmer , a Lutheran School teacher trained at Concordia University in Seward, NE. During their seven years in Racine, Tom and Cheryl were blessed with two daughters Bethany and Mary. While training at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, their son Paul was born on vicarage in Minnesota. Pastor Tom was ordained in 1986 and served 12 years as pastor in Fairfield, Texas, while planting a church in Mexia. He has been the pastor at Faith since 1998.
His hobbies include trying to stay in physical shape and playing guitar, which he loves to play every Wednesday morning for the Faith School children. Also, he can’t resist the chance to play catch with a football, or engage in political discussion, which he carefully keeps out of the pulpit.
Past and present community service include presidents of Band Fans and Optimist Club, serving on the boards of Habitat for Humanity and Senior Citizens Center, and delivering Meals on Wheels. Aside from his family, which now includes an adorable granddaughter, his greatest joy is serving Faith Lutheran Church, a community of faithful, generous, industrious, and loving believers in Christ.

If you need to talk to him about anything you can reach him at the church or on his cell at 592-9171 or write to faithpastor@embarqmail.com
