Special Joy Lenten Servant Event
Help our Special Joy friends lend a helping hand to those less fortunate.
Bring an item each week for Lutheran World Relief Health Kits. Item can also be brought at the following Wednesday service.
Special Joy will put them together and ship after Easter.
Week of Feb 28: An adult-size toothbrush in its original packaging
Week of Mar 7: A pair of nail clippers with file attached, packaging removed
Week of Mar 14: Bath bar (4 to 5 oz.) of soap, any brand, in original wrapping
Week of Mar 21: Six bandaids -1/2" to 3/4" - secured together with rubber band
Week of Mar 28: One hand towel and one washcloth - dark color with no design

NEW LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES: For young adults/parents of Sunday School children. Classes run during the Sundays in Lent at 9:40 a.m. The class for men is the video and discussion series, "Home Run King", be led by John Franz. Its focus is a man’s role as husband and father in the home.
The class for women is “The Beauty of Contentment” from the series, “A Christian Women’s Bible Study”, led by Whitney Lee.
SAIL Bible Study this Thursday, March 4th at 10 AM. SAIL will feed lunch to our Circuit Pastors on March 9th. Fred & Myra Lou Zimmerman are guest presenters at SAIL program on March 18th at 10 AM.
Altar Guild needs your help: We are in need of a volunteer to take over one of our rotation spots. I have heard some people say that they would gladly help wash the communion ware. With having communion in both services, we can use part-time volunteers as well. Please pray-fully consider helping with this ministry.

Calling in Love Ministry: Is in need of a few volunteers to call or send cards to visitors or ill members. This is done on Monday afternoons/evenings and only takes a few hours at the most.
Thanks to those who have already brought their "Baby Bottles for Life" back to church!
It's not too late to pick up a bottle, fill it and bless the individuals who come into Cross Timbers Pregnancy Care Center. The bottles will need to be returned by next Sunday, March 7th. Please take them to the church office if you return them during the week. Sherre West
Foster’s Home for Children invites you to their 7th Annual Auction on Saturday, March 6th and it will begin at 10:00 a.m. If you would like to donate a gift certificate, gift basket or a monetary donation, call Lacy @ 968-2143 or mail to 1779 North Graham.
The Breadbox is needing funds. If you can, please put something in to help. We try to be very diligent with your donations.
We will have our “Children’s Easter Egg Hunt” on Easter Sunday this year.
During the Brunch and Fellowship hour. You can begin bringing candy for the
Plastic eggs. Please do not bring any plastic eggs, we have PLENTY.

If you would like to donate Girl Scout Cookies to Our Soldiers, please see Megan or Cindy Franz soon as we are wrapping it up.
