It’s FaithFest Time   Saturday, November 3rd from 4:30—7:00 p.m.

Last year we served over 400 dinners.  It takes ALL of us working together to make Faith Fest a Festive time for all.  If your talents fall under any of these categories, your help will be greatly appreciated. We will soon have signup sheets and recipes out on the bulletin board.

The FaithFest Committees are as follows:

Rosanne Keilers and Cindy Stafford – Kitchen

Mary Walter – Music

Lyder and Jeanette Quade – Silent Auction

Cheryl Konz – Publicity/Tickets

Oom-Pah Band    This year Jordan Sparkman will be contacting high school students to perform in  the Oom-pah band.  If anyone in the congregation wants to participate in this wonderful group, please contact Mary Walter or Jordan Sparkman .

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

We will continue our evening Bible Study at 7:30. We will meet every Wednesday until Nov. 14th. Our 9 week study will be on Baptism. Living our baptism daily is not merely a reminder of a long-ago church ritual with no meaning or benefit in our lives today. Baptismal living recognizes and embraces all that Christ teaches us through His Word. If you would like to join us for this study, please let Marlene White know.

The shipment of the August collection items will be mailed the first week in September. The response for phone cards was minimal, so we are carrying that item over for another month. The local Army recruiter has been kind enough to buy the phone cards for us when he goes to Fort Hood. That way we can ensure that we get the type of card that works in Iraq.

Any amount of money is appreciated. You may give your donation to Cindy Stafford. If you don’t trust her, you can give it to Pastor.

If you have questions about this project, please contact Cindy Stafford at the following numbers:  968-4337 (home); 918-1212 (work); 592-6630 (cell); or 485-6304 (cell).

LWML MITE BOXES are available by the Large Mite Box in the narthex.  All monies are gathered and dedicated on the Sunday of our meeting.   Please add your “mites” to the box and help support many missions all over Texas and the United States and the World.

October 21st will be our monthly regular meeting.  There will be a lunch provided immediately following 2nd service at a cost of $2.00 each.  Then, we will dedicate our MITES.  Next, a “SURPRISE SPEAKER” will arrive.  You don’t want to miss this!!

ARTS AND CRAFTS—We need donations of items for the Arts and Crafts Fair that we participate in at the Stephenville Rec. Center on November 2-3.  Craft items or baked goods or homemade candies, etc. are welcome.  All monies raised support all of the things we do throughout the year to be of service to others in our church and beyond!   Bring the items to church or directly to the Rec. Center on Friday, Nov. 2nd.

ADVENT LIGHTS—Last year we had a wonderful time with nearly 110 women attending this special evening.  This year it is on December 2nd.  Please sign up by the poster on the table in the narthex if you would be willing to be a hostess for a table.  You would decorate your table with some type of Christmas theme.  A program and desserts will be provided by others.  Please SIGN UP soon.  Talk to Lynann Simpson for more information.

Again, we truly would love to have everyone come to be a part of this wonderful women’s ministry of our church.  You may contact our president, Rosanne Keilers, if you have any questions.
